n the winter of 2010-11, I embarked on a 3 week road trip through some of the most remote and high altitude deserts of Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. Living out of a sturdy 90's Nissan Patrol, we set out into the desert, navigating with GPS, through the Bolivian Altiplano, over the Salar de Uyuni, past colourful toxic lakes, crystal caverns of the Atacama Desert, and down into a lush land of plenty in wine-producing northern Argentina. Photos are film, taken with my trusty Pentax K1000.
